Paris Again

It's always lovely in Paris, whatever the season. I've been somewhat lax about posting these images, taken a few years ago during the almost two weeks in October 2015 that we spent in Paris before taking the train down to the Dordogne. Needless to say, despite a few grey clouds and a little rain, the City of Light was as always a delight--charming and surprising, never boring, even if all one does is spend the afternoon sitting in one of the beautiful little green chairs in the Luxembourg Garden watching Parisians enjoy the autumn sunshine and admiring the color of the trees and the careful (changing) design of the flower gardens. We revisited some of our favorite places during these days--Place des Vosges, the Louvre (mostly the Dutch Masters), Musée d'Orsay--as well as some those places we seemed always to miss--San Sulpice, Sainte- Chapelle, Père Lachaise, the glass covered arcades, the Sunday morning markets. The slide show below offers but a sample of the hundreds of photos I took on that trip alone (oh, the photographic hedonism of digital storage cards!). I hope your memories of Paris, whether you traveled there or not, are as fine as mine. Enjoy.
